Land Acknowledgement
As we gather together, let us pause to remember that we live, work and worship on lands that are, by law, the unceded territories of the nations of Treaty 7. As Christ’s people, may we be people of love, of truth, and of reconciliation. May we live with respect on this land, and in peace and friendship with its people.

Lighting the Christ Candle
Jesus Christ is the light of the world.
May we let our light shine so that others may know Christ’s love

We gather in this worship space, welcomed by God.
God provides room for all
to find a place and a calling in community.

Let us gladly welcome the Holy One
into our worship and our lives.
Let us make room for the Holy One
to move graciously among and through us.
if we truly welcome God here,
how can we not welcome all who are made in God’s

If all are welcome in this place,
let us now offer that welcome to all who have been
part of this community for many years.
In the name of Christ, welcome.

If all are welcome in this place,
let us now offer that welcome
to visitors and newcomers with doors open to all.
In the name of Christ, welcome.

Children and youth are welcome to join Sunday School

Hymn We Are One VU 402

Sacred Presence, from a world of injustice and pain, brokenness and frailty
we come seeking grace, longing to be enfolded by love.
We seek to be challenged by Jesus’ teachings and the faithful witness of our ancestors in faith.
We long to be shaped and formed into compassionate community.
Imprint us with your justice-loving ways and sustain us with your powerful vision for our lives.

Hymn God of the Sparrow VU 229

Offertory Prayer
Ordinary things like paper and coin can make for the extra-ordinary work of the Spirit alive and active in our world.

Bless these ordinary offerings, O God, that they might be the means by which your extraordinary grace is known; for we offer them in Jesus’ name. Amen

Prayers for the Day

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven.
hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive
those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory,
forever and ever. Amen

Prayer of Thanksgiving (in unison)
Amazing God, you come into our ordinary lives,
and set a table, holy, among us,
filling our plates with the Bread of Life
and our glasses with the Wine of Salvation.
Amazing God, bless us with your holy Presence,
as we give thanks for the many ways that you enter our ordinary world, in unexpected ways, in unexpected places, in unexpected people. Amen

Distribution of the Gifts of God

Sharing the Gifts of God

Life giving God,
May we who have shared Jesus’ bread, live his risen life;
may we who have shared Christ’s cup, bring new life to others;
may we who are born of your Spirit,
receive comfort, guidance and encouragement all our days.
Keep us firm in the hope you have set before us,
that we may faithfully live to praise your holy name.

Hymn I Feel the Winds of God Today VU 625

And now may the light of the sun be our guide,
the generosity of the earth be our model for
discipleship,and may God bless us,
and bless us kindly,
today and always. Amen
