The Great Plains

Darryl and Saskia will be playing a concert at Airdrie United Church on Sunday, March 25 at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $15 per person and are available to purchase at Airdrie United Church or by calling (403) 948-5527. Tickets also available at the door.

Artisans Only Market

Bethany Care Centre, Airdrie: volunteers needed

For the month of February on Friday afternoons, Balzac United Church will be serving tea to the residents of Bethany Care Centre, Airdrie. If you are able to help for a few hours, please call Nancy Wigglesworth @ 403-389-1716.

Veterans Food Bank Donations

At this time of year, we support the Veterans Food Bank run by the Calgary Poppy Fund that assists veterans, ex-service, widows & dependents in Calgary & area. Donations of food, socks, mittens, gloves, & toques are needed & can be left in the church food bank bin in the entranceway.

Soap For Hope

Soap For Hope YYC is an Airdrie based non-profit group who provide basic hygiene kits to individuals and families. Soap for Hope YYC welcomes donations of soap. Their January wish list includes: 1 litre dish detergent, laundry soap, feminine hygiene products. A Donation box is in the church entryway.

Youth leaders

Youth between the ages of 15-18 as of July 2018, who are leaders in their home congregation and/or the wider church and have an interest in learning about the changing structure of the United Church, how policies and proposals are developed and submitted, and how decisions are made by the General Council are invited to apply to be one of five youth participating in a pilgrimage across Canada, learning and working in church connected sites, as a summer job. Application deadline is November 3, 2017. For more information or to get an application form please see Miss Angela.
