Youth group Christmas party

Friday, December 15
Skating and tobogganing at East Lake Park in Airdrie (weather permitting), followed by hot cocoa and treats, and a fun Christmas gift exchange at the church.

Veterans Food Bank Donations

At this time of year, we support the Veterans Food Bank run by the Calgary Poppy Fund that assists veterans, ex-service, widows & dependents in Calgary & area. Donations of food, socks, mittens, gloves, & toques are needed & can be left in the church food bank bin in the entranceway.

Soap For Hope

Soap For Hope YYC is an Airdrie based non-profit group who provide basic hygiene kits to individuals and families. Currently they are in need of 1litre bottles of laundry detergent or dish soap (not dishwasher). Donations may be left in the Soap For Hope box in the church entrance.

Youth leaders

Youth between the ages of 15-18 as of July 2018, who are leaders in their home congregation and/or the wider church and have an interest in learning about the changing structure of the United Church, how policies and proposals are developed and submitted, and how decisions are made by the General Council are invited to apply to be one of five youth participating in a pilgrimage across Canada, learning and working in church connected sites, as a summer job. Application deadline is November 3, 2017. For more information or to get an application form please see Miss Angela.

 

Mission & Service fair

November 26: Sunday school Mission & Service Fair following the morning service.
Last year, the Sunday school, youth and adventurers will present the different countries that they have learned about!

Did you know that for every $1 that the Airdrie Food Bank receives they can purchase $3 worth of food items? If you choose to support them in this way, please mark your donation clearly, and BUC will submit all monies received, to the Food Bank.
