BUC Worship At Home Experience Sunday June 13

Date: June 13, 2021/Speaker: Rita Cattell

Rev Rita’s Message – Listen to the full message here

Play –  O For A Thousand Tongues to Sing

Pray God of small seeds and mighty plants, you take our meager lives and with your love cause them to produce acts of loving kindness for you in this world. You hear our cries and find us when we are lost and wandering in fear. You bring us home with you so that we may be made whole, rejoicing in your goodness. Help us to joyfully serve you all our days, knowing that you are always watching over us. Prepare our hearts to receive your word and our spirits to repond in eagerness to serve you. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Play – Let Your Light Shine sung by the Balzac Choir

Scripture Reading – Luke 13:18-21Jesus (explaining): J18 Do you want to understand the kingdom of God? Do you want Me to tell you what it’s like? 19 It’s like a single mustard seed that someone took and planted in his garden. That tiny seed grew and became a tree so large that the birds could fly in and make their nests in its branches. 20 Do you want Me to tell you what the kingdom of God is like? 21 It’s like some yeast which a woman hid within a huge quantity of flour; soon the whole batch of dough was rising.

Play – For the Weaving of Our Lives

Pray the Lord’s Prayer – Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Play – Reconciliation Song

To end this time of worship say- Imagine what a mustard seed of faith might do this week in your life. Not a ml, nor a litre, nor a truckload. Just a mustard seed.

Imagine. Now go and live out that grace. Amen.
