Rev Rita’s Message – Listen to the full message here

Play – Come O Holy Spirit sung by the Balzac United Church Choir

Read – Today, Pentecost Sunday, we celebrate the gracious gift of the Holy Spirit, who leads us in understanding and following Jesus today. May we receive the inspiration of the Spirit.

Pray – Come, Holy Spirit, set our hearts on fire! Find the passion you have placed in our lives and let it become the fire of transformation, that refreshes, that refills, that renews, not just for us, O God, but so we might join with others, to live your love, a love that transforms the world. Amen.

Play Breathe On Me Breath of God

Pray – Come Holy Spirit, come blow into our lives. ignite the fire of hope, fan the flames of possibility. Transform us into a people who share your love with a world in pain, a people who proclaim your hope into a world given to despair, a people who live as though the world can be changed into the kiingdom that is to come. Come, Holy Spirit, take and transform our communities so that broken people find healing; that lonely people find love; that bitter people find peace; that fearful people find hope. Come, Holy Spirit, fill our lives with your presence so that more and more every day, all that we do and say and hope will be an act of worship to you and an expression of love to others. Amen.

Play – Spirit, Spirit of Gentleness

To end this time of worship say – The God who made this amazing universe is creating me anew every day. Jesus Christ, the resurrected One, offers me peace that never dies. The Holy Spirit is seeing my heart on fire right here, right now. May I be transformed so that I may help change the world. Amen.
