Call to worship
God is in our midst.
Come, let us celebrate God’s presence.
Christ is in our midst.
We are here to listen for the call to serve
others.
The Spirit is in our midst.
We are aware of a power, greater than
ourselves, to lead, guide, and uplift us.

Prayer for Unburdening (unison)
Faced with sickness we cannot fix,
injustice we cannot overturn,
ignorance we cannot change,
poverty we cannot solve,
war we cannot stop,
wrong we cannot undo,
we confess to you, our God,
that sometimes we turn away,
and do not choose your way of healing love.
Preserve us from the unkind word, the unsympathetic heart, the unbridled ambition. Purify us and set us once again upon the path where life flows deep and pure and true. Amen

Our Father, who art in heaven.
hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory,
