Call to Worship
God says:
“Look! I am creating new heavens and a new earth
Thanks be to God!
All the earlier troubles, chaos and pain
are things of the past, to be forgotten
Thanks be to God!
Jesus says:
As for these things that you see, the days will come
when not one stone will be left upon another.
Thanks be to God?
When you hear of wars and insurrections, do not be
terrified, for these things must take place first…
Thanks be to God?
Into the midst of these different visions, we come in worship – ready
to respond to the call of the spirit, so that we can confidently say:
Thanks be to God!!!

(with thanks to the Very Rev. Dr. Carmen Lansdowne and the Anglican

Abba, Amma, Beloved, your name be hallowed your reign spread among

us,

Your will be done at all times, in all places, on earth as in heaven.

Give us the bread we need for today.

Forgive us our sins as we forgive

those who sin against us.

Let us not fail in the time of our testing.

Spare us from trials too sharp to endure.

Free us from the grip of all evil powers.

For yours is the reign, the power and the glory,

the victory of love, for now and eternity,

world without end.

Amen and Amen.
