Land Acknowledgement
As we gather together, let us pause to remember that we live, work,
and worship on lands that are, by law, the unceded territories of the
nations of Treaty 7. As Christ’s people, may we be people of love, of
truth, and of reconciliation. May we live with respect on this land, and
in peace and friendship with its people.

Lighting of the Christ Candle
We believe Jesus shines with the glory of God.
At the transfiguration, three disciples experienced Jesus shining and
radiant. We were not there to experience the mystery of that
moment, but we are here now.
We can nurture our relationship with Jesus, so that our living reflects that
Christ light, so that we can shine in small ways and big ways.
We light this Christ candle as a symbol of the light that shines
through us as we live our discipleship.

Call to Worship
God’s abundant love for us was shown in the life of Jesus of Nazareth.
We offer praise and thanks to God.
Jesus preached about a God whose love was unconditional.
This love draws us out of ourselves and into the world.
Jesus called us to live in love and generosity.
May all that we share and do mirror this great overflowing love.
Let us worship together.
