Prelude God Leads Us Along arr. L. Shackley
Welcoming and Land Acknowledgement
“As we gather together, let us pause to remember that we live, work and worship on lands that are, by law, the unceded territories of the nations of Treaty 7. As Christ’s people, may we be people of love, of truth, and of reconciliation. May we live with respect on this land, and in peace and friendship with its people.”

Lighting the Christ Candle
We gather as many different people, yet with a common desire to follow Christ. We light a candle to recall that we are the body of Christ, and the light of Christ shines amongst us.
Words for Gathering
Response Psalm 113 Praise to the Lord VU 835 (remain seated)
Call to Worship
Jesus calls us to meet him here,
and we gather as brothers and sisters in Christ. We come as we are, as we were made, we come to offer ourselves to Jesus. We come knowing that our offering means sacrifice, knowing it means hard decisions and choices. We come ready to offer ourselves, all that we are and all that we do. As we walk forward together let us offer this time of worship to our Creator.
Opening Prayer
God, our refuge and fortress, our shelter and strength, we dwell in your shadow and trust in your presence. Grant us safety under your wings,
protect us from the terror of the night,
and the dangers of the day.
Teach us, God, to know you and love you,
encourage us to call on you.
Be with us in our times of trouble.
Save us from all that would separate us from you. Amen

Dedication Of The Offering
Bountiful God, accept these gifts and those given through PAR and online—our seeds of hope for the healing of the world. May the harvest be plentiful. Thank you, God, for this opportunity. Amen.
Prayers for the Day & The Lords Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven.
hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen
Hymn We are Pilgrims (The Servant Song) VU 595
COMMISSIONING & BLESSING
Faith, belief and discipleship are to be lived out. God, help us shake the dust off our feet, and go into the world with a spirit of healing love.
May we, your followers in this generation, go to meet our world: with your blessing, with the example of Jesus before us, and the energy of the Spirit driving us.
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, the One who Mothers us all.
Amen
